Fishburne Military School’s Caissons Varsity Soccer (2-2) hosted Hargrave Military Academy home at Anderson Field on a hot, dry, sunny, and breezy afternoon Thursday, September 12th with the Corps cheering.
Forward Hamed Al Hinai (Senior; Vienna, VA) scored the only goal of the first half in the 6th minute on a direct kick from outside the box.
Keeper Colby Brown (Junior; Stuarts Draft, VA) had just two saves in the first half.
Al Hinai additionally scored both of the Caisson goals in the second half. The first was unassisted inside the box in the 45th due to an opportune fumble of Al Hinai’s penalty kick by Hargrave’s keep. The final goal was an assist from Midfielder Oliver Clarys (Sophomore; Flanders, Belgium) in the 51st from outside the right of the box to Al Hinai on the opposite left post.
Keeper Colby Brown saved five in the second half, including an intense double in a breakaway.
The match was a shutout. In all, the Caissons had ten shots on goal, and three corner kicks.
The Caissons will next host Stuart Hall at Anderson Field at 4:30pm Tuesday, September 17th.
